Valley of the Elephants

This tourism region Limpopo Province in South Africa, is called the “Valley of the Elephants” and the name given to the eastern lowveld and the escarpment region. This breathtaking region stretches from Tzaneen to Bushbuckridge.  As the name suggests this region falls in the valley of the Olifants River which cuts through the world renowned, Kruger National Park forming the province southern border. The valley forms part of the northern most section of the majestic Drakensberg mountain range 

The “Valley of the Elephants” is one of the pristine wild life gems of Africa - vast, unhurried, and timeless. This region that meanders through the Kruger National Park, is unmistakably Africa. Bordering the park is a number of privately owned concession areas that have removed their fences to form part of the greater Kruger Park. An opportunity to showcase Africa's splendor of wildlife and thus catering for a wide sector of the market, from rustic and close to nature, to super luxury, intended to pamper and restore thesoul. Kruger Park is also part of a trans frontier park stretching over the borders of South Africa, Mozambique and Zimbabwe allowing the animals to take up their old migratory routes that were blocked before due to political boundaries.
